Dogara Condemns Killings In North East

In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Public Affairs, Turaki Hassan, Dogara said that he was deeply worried over the recent spate of killings of innocent citizens by the insurgents.
While condemning the violence, the Speaker urged the military and other security agencies not to despair in their effort to stamp out Boko Haram from the region.
The Speaker commended the military for the successes recorded in the past months against the insurgents but called on the officers and men of the military to redouble their effort.
He expressed hope that with the ongoing reorganisation of the security agencies by President Muhammadu Buhari, the insurgents would be stamped out. He said that already, a motion calling on the Federal Government to convene an international donor conference for the rebuilding of the region has been drafted and will be considered by the House after the recess.
The Speaker called on governors of the region to lead the campaign for the rebuilding of the North East.
