Terms
were finally agreed after a lengthy transfer saga that angered Casillas
to the point where he turned down the offer of a send off in the
stadium.
On
Thursday night, the two parties were still arguing over the details of
the goalkeeper’s pay-off with Casillas threatening to stay at the club,
which would have potentially derailed David de Gea’s move to the Spanish
capital.
But the announcement of Casillas' departure will heighten further speculation that De Gea is set for a switch to Real.
